There is a world that reveals itself only when we slow down and look closely. In the spring of 2026, I followed the road through the open landscapes of the Northern Plains and Yellowstone, searching for the quiet stories unfolding around me. In Theodore Roosevelt National Park, wild horses and prairie dogs became the focus of several days of observation and photography. In the Badlands, I searched for burrowing owls—elusive subjects that remained just beyond my lens. Yellowstone offered a different kind of abundance: bison, bears, and the fleeting wonder of spring’s new arrivals.

These photographs are an exploration of wild places and the animals that inhabit them—moments of connection found through patience, observation, and the willingness to look a little longer.
